Stage 4 Recap: The Final Ascent Begins
In the freezing dawn of Baiba, 40 riders of the Ride Across Tibet stood ready. Three days of grueling high-altitude challenges had left their mark—faces weathered by the wind, knees and wrists bearing the scars of the journey. Yet, their eyes held more determination than ever. With a series of raw, heartfelt shouts of "Everest, we are coming!", the final chapter of the 2025 Ride Across Tibet: Everest Extreme Cycling Challenge officially commenced. As their wheels began to roll once more, they had transformed all their fatigue, anguish, and pain into medals of honor for this final charge toward the roof of the world.

Stage 4: The Ultimate 103km Test to the Roof of the World
The 103-kilometer Stage 4, renowned as the ultimate challenge of the Ride Across Tibet, began in Tingri (Baima). Riders were immediately confronted by the legendary "108 Bends," a seemingly endless series of hairpin turns sapping strength and will.
The route then climbed to the 5,210-meter-high Jiawula Pass. There, in the thin air, they were rewarded with a simultaneous view of the world's five majestic 8,000-meter peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Shishapangma—a moment of unparalleled grandeur, making the world feel at their feet.
After a brief pause to capture their "summit portrait" with Everest, the competitors embarked on a 27-kilometer untimed descent, concluding their epic journey at the final finish line: Everest Base Camp.

Once the timed segment began, Jiacun Luobu (TC276) and Gaciron's Chilenima (TC266) leveraged their home-field advantage to launch a decisive breakaway. Setting a fierce pace on the climb, they pushed ahead of the field, crossing the timing finish line to secure 1st and 2nd place respectively in Stage 4.
Meanwhile, Gaciron's Tursunjan Burelik (TC130), after the despair and exhaustion of the previous day, managed to recalibrate and dig deep. Choosing to leave everything on the mountain, he powered through to secure a well-fought 3rd place, completing a dominant team performance.

"The track of the Ride Across Tibet was truly perfect, punishing, and extreme. I experienced the most desperate moment of my entire cycling career here.
For the team, we claimed first place—we are the champions. For me personally, I've made history in this race before. This journey to Everest contained its mistakes, but in the end, it was fulfilled."
— Tursunjan Burelik (TC130), Gaciron Lights Team

"I break down so easily every time I go above 5,000 meters. I cried on the Dongda Mountain and the Mila Mountain during the Ride Across Tibet Sichuan-Tibet race. But this time, at the most desperate Gatsa La Pass, I held them back.
My teammate was still pushing on. As hard as it was, he was still fighting. What reason did I have to break down and give up?"
— Zhang Tao (TC080), Gaciron Lights Team

The Gaciron Lights Team achieved a magnificent overall victory at the 2025 Ride Across Tibet, securing both the top spot in the individual general classification and the first place in the overall team classification. This outstanding performance marks a crowning conclusion to their high-altitude campaign.
