PRODUCT STORY

The Kiwi bird, also known as the Kiwi, has wings that have degenerated, making it one of the most remarkable flightless ancient bird species on Earth. Its counterparts existed alongside dinosaurs and have largely become extinct. The remaining three species are exclusively found in New Zealand, where they are considered national treasures and cherished passionately by the people. However, with the destruction of their habitats due to human urbanization, the Kiwi bird is now on the brink of extinction.

James Hong, a designer for Gaciron Bike Light, was deeply captivated by the Kiwi bird during his cycling journey in New Zealand. Drawing inspiration from the fact that Kiwi birds are typical nocturnal animals, he gave the same vitality of life to the bike lights meant for nighttime use by naming them after the Kiwi. Inspired by this, James designed a series of products and named them "Nocturnal animal KIWI," aiming to raise awareness about endangered species and encourage collective efforts to protect the environment, making the Earth a beautiful home for all creatures.
